The film will be produced by Neelima Guna under the banner of production house Gunaa Production. The movie is directed by Rudhramadevi fame talented director Gunasekhar.
The story of the film revolves around the love story between King Dushyanta and Shakuntala, the daughter of Vishwamitra and Menaka. Previously the movie was scheduled to release on November 4, 2022, but later the release date was postponed because the makers of the movie later chose to release the film in 3d format.

The movie will be a pan-India film that will be released in multiple languages dubbed in Tamil, Hindi, Malayalam & Kannada languages all over India. The new release date of the movie is February 17, 2023.
