On Monday evening, the trailer of Sidharth Malhotra‘s forthcoming Indian patriotic movie “Mission Majnu” was released by the popular online streaming video platform “Netflix”. Sidharth Malhotra can be seen playing the role of an Indian spy “Amandeep Singh” who is given a mission called “Mission Majnu” in which he has to go to Pakistan and search for Pakistan’s Nuclear Weapon Facility.
In the trailer, it can be seen that Amandeep Singh ( Sidharth Malhotra ) works as a tailor in Pakistan and marries a Pakistani blind girl to cover up his identity of being an Indian spy. The role of the blind girl is played by the talented Pushpa actress, Rashmika Mandanna. He changes his name to Tariq.
Further in the trailer it can be seen that eventually, Amandeep falls in love with the girl. Which results in the name of the mission being called “Mission Majnu”. It is also the codename for his operation.
His blind wife Nasreen is clueless about his mission and on the other hand, Sidharth works hard to find clues and find the Pakistani Nuclear Weapon Facility while hiding the truth from his wife Nasreen.
The movie Mission Majnu is inspired by true life events, which is considered the deadliest mission of the movie. The movie is set in the 1970s. Before and between the Indo-Pakistani War. The trailer shows the two sides of Tariq, his love and dedication towards the nation and his love towards the girl he married.
The movie is packed with various action sequences and emotions. Other than that, the movie is all set to release on Netflix on 20th January 2023.
